We were told by a server from another restaurant about Jinja and how good the food is. Added in that conversation was that actor Gene Hackman, was the owner at one time. So the wife and I decided to try it out. The restaurant is a little outdated but still in good shape. Our server Maria was attentive and professional. We decided on the egg rolls for appetizers, my wife's favorite app at Asian restaurants. They were small (5) but tasty. We then ordered our go to meals, wife; sesame chicken, broccoli and brown rice and I, the Mongolian Beef dinner with fried rice. We were not disappointed. Lots of flavor and very well done. We super enjoyed our meals. They do have an option of small or large plates but we stick to the small and it was just right for us. Hopefully we'll have another opportunity to swing by before we leave town next week for Taos. R. I. P. big guy.

Great place to stop into with lots of options and a large menu. The drink menu looked pretty extensive and tasty. We had the paper wrapped salmon, chow fun noodles and the teriyaki chicken. The pot stickers were a great appetizer. Everyone was super polite and helpful and explained everything clearly. Thanks!

Unexpectedly awesome meal here. Was anticipating a typical Asian fusion spot, but was first confused by the "Gene Hackman, 2004" plaque below a huge painting next to our both. Googled it and discovered this is a restaurant the actual Gene Hackman started after he moved to Santa Fe, and much of the artwork in the restaurant is his. Ok, so that's a neat trivia bit, but what about the food? Very, very good! Well seasoned, perfect textures, good balance of ingredients. My group had the Mongolian beef, Thai curry noodles, udon noodles, and steak frites. All were solid! Did not expect that from a rather random pick of Asian fusion in Santa Fe.

We had an awesome date night here the other night. The food was delicious and I loved that you could get a small or large portion. The drink menu was extensive. And the presentation of the food and the relaxing environment made it feel like a special date night. Plus the prices are super reasonable compared to other nice but still casual spots in town. You could really just come here for tasty take out or you could come for a nice evening. Oh and the sriracha fish and chips was excellent!!

Our first time here at Jinja and we loved it. The service was fast, friendly and the food was delicious. I got the teriyaki chicken meal, my partner got the Land and Sea (steak and shrimp) and our son got the orange chicken from the kids menu. We all left very satisfied and will be back again!

Fantastic hospitality. Lettuce cups are overrated (I'm not a smoked ham in a lettuce cup kind of gal), potstickers are underrated. Absolutely sensational. Dipping sauce was excellent. Would dine again.
